Felling of Trees - Go Green Initiatives
People talk about global warming, planting of trees, going green in each and everything viz saving paper, planting trees, saving energy, using alternative sources of energy, etc.
Even there are greener bicycles these days - Organic Cycles ;) - bicycles made out of bamboos.
Big trees that provides more shade, more air, more green color ;-) are cut in the name of planting new trees.
No one is concerned about felling of well grown trees.
Big corporates are spending huge amounts of money in the name of go green initiatives. Its higly illogical.
We talk about fuel conservation and using public transport, but the government instead of providing more number of busses for transporting people, has started providing AC buses which are less fuel efficient compared to normal busses.
Enna koduma sir idhu.
Also people using cars should think twice before using AC as using AC consumes more fuel. Ippadiyum konjam fuel save panlamey :)

Maruti A-Star
Maruti Suzuki on Wednesday launched its new hatchback A-Star in the Indian market and said it would in four years come out with its first indigenous car.
The A-Star will be available at an introductory price ranging from Rs 3,47,000 to Rs 4,12,000. We have started the ground work to launch a car which is conceived, designed and developed fully in India," Maruti Suzuki India Managing Executive Officer (Engineering), I.V. Rao, told PTI. The company is hopeful of rolling out the car in the next four years, he added.
A-Star will be powered by a 998cc K10B petrol engine and will be available in three variants in the domestic market. For exports, the company would manufacture A-Star in over 200 variants and sell to around 150 countries across Europe, Middle East, Latin America, Asia, Australia and Africa.
